2 nd Angling Festival at Kakching Lake 200 Enrolled for Fishing Competition Kakching, Manipur November 12, 2012 The 2 nd Angling Festival (Khoi Choppa) will be held at Kakching Laipham Loknung Irrigation Tank, known as Kakching Lake on November 11, 2012 on the eve of Ningol Chakouba. Over 200 competitors from all over the state of Manipur have enrolled to participate the fishing completion. The winners of the competition will be awarded cash reward. The first angling competition was held last year at the same lake one day before the eve of Ningol Chakouba. The Irrigation tank, known as Kakching Lake has varieties of indigenous fish. The over 10,000 public of Kakching and surrounding villages are invited to witness the festival. Ningol Chakouba is a unique Meitei festival held on every 2 nd Hiyangei, the Manipuri calendar, which falls on November 15 this year, the parents and brothers will invite their daughters and sisters for a special meal.   AN HOLOCAUST EXHIBITION BROUGHT TO THE CITY <br/> <br/> An exhibition of 200 original photographs of the Holocaust on display at St. Xavier’s college till November 10 <br/> <br/> Mumbai, November 7, 2012: The Consulate General of Israel in association with Simon Wiesenthal Centre and Maharashtra United nations Association have organized an education exhibit “The Courage to Remember” on the history of the Holocaust that consists of 40 panels with nearly 200 original photographs of the Holocaust at St Xavier’s college, Mumbai.   <br/> Mr. Sumit Mullick IAS, Chief of protocol, Government of Maharashtra was the chief guest of the opening ceremony held on 6 th November.
