KELI is a Mumbai based Charitable organization striving to preserve, develop and propagate the classical and traditional cultural heritage of India. Keli has been active in this field from the past several years and during this period, has successfully handled a number of important projects in furtherance of its objectives. The annual Keli festivals, structured thematically every year, are well known to artists and art lovers of the City and have earned the organization a significant place in the cultural life of Mumbai. In Praise of kiran Nagarkar- An event organised by Max Mueller Bhavan Goethe Institute to commend Author Kiran Nagarkar for his wonderful works of fiction that has been translated in several foreign languages and are bestsellers in those countries. The Panelists were Marla Stutenberg, of the Max Mueller Bhavan, Naresh Fernandes, Paromita Vohra and Kiran Nagarkar himself. There were book readings by the panelists from their favorite kiran Nagarkar work followed by an artistic dance drama adapted from his work.

2 nd Angling Festival at Kakching Lake 200 Enrolled for Fishing Competition Kakching, Manipur November 12, 2012 The 2 nd Angling Festival (Khoi Choppa) will be held at Kakching Laipham Loknung Irrigation Tank, known as Kakching Lake on November 11, 2012 on the eve of Ningol Chakouba. Over 200 competitors from all over the state of Manipur have enrolled to participate the fishing completion. The winners of the competition will be awarded cash reward. The first angling competition was held last year at the same lake one day before the eve of Ningol Chakouba. The Irrigation tank, known as Kakching Lake has varieties of indigenous fish. The over 10,000 public of Kakching and surrounding villages are invited to witness the festival. Ningol Chakouba is a unique Meitei festival held on every 2 nd Hiyangei, the Manipuri calendar, which falls on November 15 this year, the parents and brothers will invite their daughters and sisters for a special meal.
